The most important character in this movie is Happy Gilmore as he draws the attention towards him by being funny. He makes jokes, bets, and plays sports. He's and amazing pro golf player who's really competitive by winning a famous tournament the PGA.

This is Virginia a public relations executive for the PGA golf tour. Virginia was the one who invited Happy to play in the PSA tournament and shortly after she takes the role as Happy's lover. Virginia becomes the wife of Happy encouraging him through his career playing a big role.

This is Chubb he plays the role as a golf coach. He supports Happy through his career and teaches him the fundamentals of golf. He is a funny and nice coach who does a great job tag teaming with Happy.

Shooter McGavin plays the role as a arch enemy to Happy during the PSA golf tournament. He is a mean and greedy player by hiring people to distract Happy during the tournament so he can win. Shooter McGavin is down right thirsty for a gold jacket which you earn by winning a PSA tournament.

Grandma Gilmore lives in a nice house that her husband has made but she doesn't pay taxes so her home gets taken away. Grandma Gilmore is the reason why Happy even started Golfing and becoming successful. So Grandma Gilmore plays a big role in the movie also inspires her son to not be stressed and worrying about her.

Happy's Caddy who is a funny and nice character. He is really confused on what to do because Happy doesn't know the golf clubs names. He influences Happy into not saying dumb stuff while on the golf turf. Overall he's a great role model to Happy on what to do.
