Skills

Here are some of the most difficult bar skills in the history of gymnastics.

Nabieva

A Nabieva is named after Tatiana Nabieva who first competed the skill at the 2010 world championships. This skill is when you do a tkatchev which is a back swing letting go of the bar and straddling over catching the bar on your way down, but do a half twist in the tkatchev. This skill is one of thehardest release move and is worth a lot of bonus.

Magana

The Magana is the hardest and most bonus dismount. It is when you come from a handstand and do a triple tuck flipping backwards off of the bar. This skill is named after Mexican gymnast Brenda Magana who first competed the skill in the 2002 world championships.

Hop Full

Although it may look easy, the Hop Full is one of the most difficult on the bar skills. Instead of doing a normal pirouette and only turning halfway, you completely let go of the bar and do a 360 degree turn and catch the bar again. This skill is done by many olympians and is also competed by level 10's in Junior Olympic Levels.
