In season 1 of Ginny and Georgia the Miller family just moved to a new  state to start a new life. Ginny has a hard time fitting in with her new friends and Georgia starts to make a big impression on her new neighbors.  Ginny starts to return to her bad habits and cant help it since she is stressed over what boy she should pick. Georgia meets a new guy named Paul who happen to be the mayor and has a connection with him. They  end up going on dates and Georgia gets a job with him and helps him run his campaign. While all this is happening Ginny is questioning her identity and finding out more about her life and what her mom has been through.

In season 2 Ginny and her brother Austin  spend thanksgiving at Zions house with his family which is Ginny's dad. So Georgia spends thanksgiving alone which her boyfriends, Pauls family.  Paul ends up moving in with their family and Georgia opens up to Ginny about her struggles. Paul and Georgia get into a heated argument about having guns in the house which almost ends things with them. When all this is happening Ginny is throwing. a party and returning back to her substance abuse. Gill comes back into there life and starts to make threats to there family and Georgia past gets uncovered by the police and gets caught at the worst time in her life.
