Ginny

Ginny is a teenage girl who is going through many struggles in her life such as, family drama, relationships, and friendships. She moved to a new school and quickly joined a friend group, they called themselves "MANG" which stands for the first letter of all of their names. Ginny finds out many secrets about her mom and her family life, such as most of her moms traumatizing life as a teenager. Shes learning the struggles of being a teenager and how much her mom went through for her. She is able to have some contact with her daad throughout the show and enjoys living with him. She has a hard relationship with her mom but at the end of the day her mom is helping her so much.

Georgia

Georgia is Ginnys mom and she had her at the age of 16 and was in a very abusive and toxic relationship. She was struggling to keep a job and a place to stay but managed to do it by having a relationship with the landlord. She had to steal and make many sacrifices all for her daughter. She committed many crimes but is working on providing a better life for her kids. She eventually found a strong relationship although they had there ups and downs she is on her way to finding the perfect life she's dreamed of until it all gets ruined when she gets caught with murder.

Austin

Austin is Ginnys younger brother, although they may not have the same dad they are working on getting closer. Austin is having a hard time in his new school so Georgia is working on teaching him how to defend himself. His dad and his mom don't have a great relationship since his dad who's name is Gill was very abusive in many ways. He eventually starts becoming more involved in family drama and starts learning more about how his dad was. When he was alone he was snooping in his moms closet since he know knew about her past, he eventually found a gun and new how dangerouse it was. He starts to not like his dad as much and eventually shoots him when his mom and him were fighting since he broke into the house. Austin starts to become defensive and begins to come out of his shell. He evemtually starts to find his place and wants to have a normal childhood like other kids his age.

Zion

Zion is Ginnys real dad. His mom wasn't a big fan of keeping Ginny so he went against his moms decisions. He lives in his new apartment in Boston where Ginny goes to visit him. He is working pon bettering himself and making Ginny feels safe with him. He is in a new and better non toxic relationship with his girlfriend named Simone.

Gil

Gil is Austins real dad and Georgia ex. He is very protective over Austin and certainly has an evil side. He doesn't understand that they don't want him in their life anymore but keeps on finding ways to sneak his way into Austin and Ginnys life. He seems to always being trying to ruin the good life Georgia is creating for her kids.

Paul

Paul Randolph is the mayor of their town and Georgia meets him and they start talking. They end up going out for dinner and now they are dating. Him and Georgia have many ups and downs as he starts to find guns around the house and he starts to get very mad at Georgia because it wouldn't be safe if one of the kids found it and since he is the mayor it would ruin is campaign. He is trying to become a bigger part of the kids life and chooses to propse to Georgia. They are going to get married but Georgia starts to ave second thoughts and calls off the wedding without his permission. They end up still getting married and work on building a better life for the kids and them.

Abby

Abby is one of the girls in Ginnys friend group. She is going through a tuff time with friends and family. Her parents are getting a divorce and as this is all happening she is starting to loose all of her bestfriends. She is also going through an eating disorder and is very insecure and hates her body. All she wants is support from her friends but she can only seem to be doing everything wrong.

Max

Max is another one pf the girls in the friend group. Her dad is deaf and her parents dont care what she does. Her mom is trying her best to stay strong but its very hard. She is also doing alchol and smoking all the time and is overall going through a rough patch in her life. She finds out her best friend Ginny was dating her brother and Ginny didn't tell her because she knew it would make things worse which it did since she kept it a secret. Now she was going through even more and can barley handle it all.

Norah

Norah is a sweet and innocent girl to her parents but once she is with her friends she is a whole different person. She is doing her best to hold the friend group together but understands that it was toxic from the start. She is also going through lots of drama and struggles in her life but is the therapist in the group and everyone always goes to her to talk about whatever. She feels bad when she realizes that Abby and Ginny are being verbally hurt by Max but doesn't want to loose another friend so she doesn't say anything.

Marcus

Marcus is Max's brother and Ginny is in a complicated relation ship with him and doesn't no if she should choose Marcus or Hunter. Marcus is going through a tuff time with school and depression and has an addiction to smoking and drinking. He doesn't communicate and tell people whats wrong but instead hides it and lets it build up. Ginny is the one who puts a smile on his face and makes his day better so when they get into fights they are certainly big ones and affect both of them in big ways.
