A Year in the Life is a four episode show and each episode represents a season.  The show starts with winter and ends with fall. Each episode is 90 minutes long. The sequel brings back many of the old cast members including Lorelai, Rory, Emily, Luke, Jess, Logan, Dean, and many more. Lorelai and Rory have not changed one bit, they are still their coffee loving, fast talking selves. In the episodes there are recaps on what has happened in the time that's passed, and finishing to cliff hangers that were left off in Gilmore Girls. One thing that has happened in the time that's passed is that Richard died from a heart attack. Because of his death Emily moved from Hartford to Nantucket.
