Annual Background Reading Assignment
Each summer, EWG students read one book (two for Honors students) and complete a Google Slides analysis. This annual reading assignment serves as background preparation for English class. All work is submitted on Google Classroom—please see the presentation below for more information on how to find the correct Classroom for your grade level. The assignment is due for ALL students on the first day of school, regardless of whether they take English during the first or second semester. Students who transfer to our school late in the summer are given an alternative schedule to complete this assignment. For students who are new to our district...
If you do not yet have your EWG email login, please use this template to complete your project. You will need to use a personal Gmail account to access it. Here's what you do:
Open the template using your personal Gmail login.
Click "File" > "Make a Copy."
Follow the directions in the speaker notes to complete your assignment.
When finished, share your presentation directly with Mr. Robitaille at brent_robitaille@ewg.k12.ri.us. (Or you may share it with your English teacher, if you know who that is!)
