Character: Raymond Holt 

The precincts commanding officer, Raymond Holt, is very strict but often acts as a father figure to various members of the team. He has unexpected characteristics about him no one would ever imagine including his hobbies and sports. Raymond Holt is very closed off and strict often stating he dislikes mixing his work place with his home, he's most passionate about his dog, Cheddar, and his husband. 

Actor: Andy Samberg

Character: Detective Jake Peralta

Another main character and staple to this show. Detective Jake Peralta is the teams funniest but most immature member. Jake is also arguably the teams best detective which is a constant debate between him and his coworker, enemy and maybe lover Amy Santiago. His playfulness and humor add a fresh perspective to this show. 

Actor: Joe Lo Truglio

Character: Charles Boyles

To put it simply, Charles Boyles is the teams most awkward work mule. His dedication to do anything for anybody especially for his best friend who he admires, Jake Peralta, can get creepy. Aside from that, Charles has a passion for cooking, which he is often critical and obsessive over. Unfortunately, his ability to read the room is not great which adds a great humor to the show. 

Actor: Melissa Fumero

Character: Amy Santiago

Amy Santiago has the worst OCD you've probably ever seen in your life. Often referred to as "Neat Freak" and "Germaphobe" by her team and she's definitely going to wash her hands after shaking yours. Aside from this, Amy comes from a family with latin heritage and she has seven brothers which has made her very competitive especially in her line of work. Amy goes on to win many awards in this show as one of the many impressive women in the NYPD. 

Actor: Terry Crews

Character: Terry Jeffords

He might be big and buff but his heart is bigger. Terry is the literal teddy bear of the group, he works hard for his family all while managing and preventing the other mischievous team members from getting in trouble since he's going to be the one doing the paper work. Often referred to as a "Proud mama hen" Terry has an irrational fear of all things small, such as spiders, ants and anything that crawls. Terry also struggles with getting back into the line of work worried for his family if something unfortunate were to happen. 

Actor: Chelsea Peretti

Character: Gina Linetti

Star and Social media icon, Gina Linetti, is Captain Holt's secretary. She is the definition if diva, brat and annoying all at once. Her attitude in the show can look like narcissism but people will be shocked to find out that is her actual personality and how she's always been. Gina's humor is honestly unmatched in the show and is widely considered a fan favorite. Despite Gina not caring about her job at all, she is extremely good at it, very dedicated and hardworking. Unfortunately she is very sassy and can be seen bullying, teasing, taunting and even blackmailing her team members. 

 Actor: Stephanie Beatriz

Character: Rosa Diaz

Rosa Diaz is the teams scariest team member, she is very closed off and not even her coworkers know her real name, intrests, or where she lives as shes the type of person to move homes right after you come over to her house. Rosa is intimidating, smart and surprisingly very caring when it comes to her family or team members though she does not show it. If someone were to ask her on her hot take shes the type of person to say "every women should own an axe." It is believed Rosa shields herself from any emotional connection due to her rough upbringing. 

Actor: Dirk Blocker

Character: Michael Hitchcock 

This character has been working in the 99th district for over 30 years, despite all his hard work, efforts and dedication he is definitely the most lazy person on the team alongside his best friend Scully. Even if there is a fire, tsunami, or any natural event this man will find a way to still eat and enjoy his food WITHOUT getting out of his chair. 

Actor: Joel Mckinnion Miller

Character: Norm Skully 

Skully has the best medical and health problems anyone could ever possibly have. He is known at every hospital near the NYPD but not for his braveness. For his addiction to food and hatred for any physical sport. Skully is not the smartest cop you would ever meet but he is known to hold the record of accidently solving cases with stupidity.
