East Whittier City School District teaches the 3R's curriculum from the Advocates for Youth.
EWCSD will teach the 3 R’s: Rights, Respect, Responsibility curriculum in 7th grade science classes towards the end of the school year. This curriculum can be previewed online below or in your school site's front office.
Parents may, in writing, request exemption from such instruction. Exemption requests should be submitted via each middle school sites designated online form. The link to this form will be sent to 7th grade families via parent square and is also available in the Opting Out section indicated above.
Parental support of school staff is essential in educating students in these critical areas. Discussion of these subjects at home is encouraged.
Please refer any questions to your student's 7th grade science teacher, school nurse, school social worker/counserlor, or principal.
