Students will be directed to wash/sanitize hands immediately preceding and following eating at school.
In an effort to allow for social distancing some students will be eating in locations other than the cafeteria (ex. classroom). In an effort to expedite the time students spend in line with other students there have been some updates to our food and nutrition processes for the 20-21 school year:
Limited menu offerings.
Offer vs. Serve will be eliminated, which means students will have to take all items on the menu, including milk.
Disposable trays/containers will be used for any student not eating in the cafeteria and prepackaged, disposable utensils will be provided.
Stringtown students will receive free breakfast and lunch again this school year, but students are also welcome to bring lunch from home as well.
Breakfast: Students wanting to eat breakfast at school will be given a Grab-N-Go breakfast to take to their homeroom to eat. (K/1 students will have their breakfast delivered to the room.)
Lunch: Some classroom cohorts will be able to eat lunch in the cafeteria socially distanced from one another, while other students will eat in their homerooms. This will be rotated weekly. Lunch has been extended to 30 minutes to ensure time for proper handwashing before and after lunch.
