Important Audition Information:
Vocal: Students do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Here's what to expect during the audition:
1. Warm-Up - All students will participate in vocal and physical warm-ups together.
2. Dance Instruction - Director/Choreographer Robert will teach a short dance sequence to all the students at the same time. The choreography will be set to the same music they will be singing.
3. Singing Preparation - Students will learn a section of "Ding Dong The Witch is Dead" We've attached the music in case you'd like to work on it with your students beforehand. They will sing from measure 112 through measure 143 (everyone sings measures 138 and 139).
4. Audition - Students will audition in small groups of about four, performing both the dance and the song together.
5. Possible Dismissals - Some students may be released after their group audition. This does not necessarily mean they
won't be cast. The final cast list will be posted on the Summer Musical website late in the evening on April 15.
6. Finishing Up - Students who remain might be asked to sing again, dance again, or even read a line or two from the script.
Note: The most important preparation is positive attitude, the willingness to try anything, and a listing of potential conflicts between May 4 and July 14, 2025. You MUST be available for all performance dates/times.
