Officer Team Goals:
Every officer will encourage 3 members to compete in a new contest by May 31st, 2027.
The officer team will have three gold rated officer books by February 1st, 2027.
The officer team will complete the National Chapter Application for state evaluations by March 1st, 2027.
Chapter Goals:
Evergreen FFA will have an increased number from the previous year (6) of state degree recipients by May 2027.
Evergreen FFA will provide 1 new event for the community by May 2027.
Every practice attended after the required number of two, members will receive one extra credit point quarterly up to 10 points.
Evergreen FFA’s meeting attendance will increase by 10% from the 2025-2026 school year, as members will be incentivized in some way.
President-
-Preside over meetings according to accepted rules of parliamentary procedure.
-Coordinate the activities of the chapter and evaluate the progress of each division of the Program of Activities.
-Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions.
-Must complete the National Chapter Application by March 1st
Vice President-
-Assume all duties of the president if necessary.
-Develop the Program of Activities and serve as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Program of Activities committees
-Coordinate all committee work
-Ensure committee reports are prepared for regularly scheduled FFA meeting
-Must complete the National Chapter Application by March 1st
Secretary-
-Prepare and post the agenda for each chapter meeting
-Prepare and present the minutes of each chapter meeting
-Place all committee reports in the secretary’s binder
-Be responsible for chapter correspondences
-Maintain member attendance and activity records
-Have on hand for each meeting:
The secretary’s file
Copy of the Program of Activities, including all standing and special committees
Copy of the chapter constitution and bylaws
-Submit a Secretary’s Book for State Evaluation by January 15
Treasurer-
-Receive and record FFA receipts and disbursements
-Present monthly treasurer reports at chapter meetings
-Maintain neat and accurate treasury records
-Prepare monthly treasurer reports for the chapter meetings
-Serve as chairperson of the finance committee
-Submit a Treasurer’s Book for State Evaluation by January 15
Reporter-
-Plan public information programs with local radio, television, newspaper and service clubs and make use of other opportunities to tell the FFA story
-Release 20 news articles to local and regional news media by December 31
-Develop a monthly newsletter to have published by the first of each month
-Submit a Reporter’s Book for State Evaluation by January 15
Sentinel-
-Assist the president in maintaining order
-Schedule each monthly meeting
-Prepare the room for each monthly meeting
-Keep the meeting room, chapter equipment and supplies in proper condition
-Welcome guests and visitors
-Take charge of candidates for degree ceremonies
-Assist with special features and refreshments
Student advisor-
-Assists with the organization and documentation of FFA fundraisers
-Develop informational flyers and brochures for FFA parents and stakeholders
-Organize chapter photos in google drive
-Assist the advisor in various needs and tasks
Parliamentarian-
-Be proficient with parliamentary procedure
-Rule on all questions of parliamentary conduct at chapter meetings
-Serve as a participant or an ex-officio member of the parliamentary procedure team
-Conduct parliamentary procedure workshops at the chapter level
-Chair or serve as ex-officio member on the conduct of meetings committee
-If position exists, assist the secretary in taking attendance at meetings and activities
Historian-
-Develop and maintain a history book of chapter events for display
-Research and prepare items of significance of the chapter’s history
-Prepare displays of chapter activities and submit stories of former members to the media
-If position exists, assist the reporter in developing the chapter scrapbook
Chaplain-
-Develop and maintain the chapter’s Top Leader Program
-Encourage moral and excitement through FFA events and activities
-Provide reflection or grace at various FFA functions and events
-If position exists, assist the treasurer in preparing the treasurer’s book
-Have and maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher.
-Have a “B” or better in all Agriculture classes.
-Have and maintain a clean discipline and attendance record.
-Have a signed, completed application on file with the chapter advisor.
-Have a signed, completed chapter Code of Ethics on file with the chapter advisor.
-Be a member of the local FFA chapter for the current school year.
-Review the Chapter Officer Handbook.
-Go through the chapter selection process (applying, screening, being elected).
