Welcome to FLAG (AKA Travel Club)
FLAG? I've never heard of it. FLAG was created right here at Everton High School as a travel club that specifically focuses on leadership. A way to allow students to branch out of this small town and see some of what the world has to offer. In the future our hope is that this organization will branch out and become one that is used in not only our area but around the country. That way multiple districts could come together and allow students from those districts to learn and grow together.
Our goal in FLAG is to give students the opportunity to study and learn about places both inside and outside the U.S. To see the historical and cultural aspects of different places and the chance to take their learning outside of the classroom and experience it first hand. Traveling is a great way to broaden your way of thinking and to build cultural tolerance through interactions with others.
My personal goal for this program is to build strong character and leadership skills through understanding and cultural tolerance. That way our students will become well educated and independent thinkers who can go out and change our world through good.
