Strategic Planning Development Process
What is Strategic Planning?
Maintaining a Strategic Plan plays a vital role in continuous improvement efforts to meet the needs of our students and community. This process establishes and guides the direction of our school system by assessing where we are and envisioning where we aspire to be.
The outcome of an updated Strategic Plan is having a vision statement that represents our district's commitment and an action plan in which to implement the vision. This plan is developed in collaboration with students, school district staff, families, and community members through a series of listening sessions.
The plan includes:
Goals and statements that describe the tangible outcomes that we want for our students, staff, families, community, and district.
Actionable steps that we are taking to reach our strategic goals.
Data we collect and analyze to monitor our progress toward meeting our goals.

Phase I: Core Principles (2021-2022)
Phase I: Core Principles
Purpose:
Identify the Pillars of Education in Evergreen Public Schools
Evergreen Public Schools is dedicated to preparing each and every student for college, career, and a successful life beyond high school. This means we will challenge our students academically with deep teaching and learning, and we will encourage them through productive and supportive relationships.

11 Listening Sessions were held throughout the 2021-2022 school year in order to gain input and feedback from our district and community at-large.
Sessions were held for:
Parents/Caretakers of Elementary and Secondary students (English, Spanish, and Russian-speaking sessions)
Business Community
Community at Large
During each session, Stakeholders were surveyed for input regarding the District's mission and vision statements as well as defining five pillars to organize the strategic plan.
