Every morning before the school day, parents need to "attest" to their child's health by completing the Daily Symptom Check survey.
Students who do not have a health survey submitted will undergo health screening upon arrival. If a student or family member is diagnosed with COVID-19, their family should notify the school immediately. If a student demonstrates any symptoms of illness they should be kept home and not sent to school.
The survey will take less than one minute to complete for each child each day. The survey must be completed daily.
Families can complete the survey by clicking the link or scanning the QR code using the camera button on your phone.

Dear Orchards Families,
Each fall, winter and spring, students in Evergreen Public Schools take an online diagnostic through i-Ready to help determine each child’s strengths and areas for growth. Since students will be taking the i-Ready assessment remotely this fall, we would like to partner with you to ensure the successful administration and completion of this test for your child.
What is i-Ready?
i-Ready is an online assessment that allows us to meet your child where they are and provides us with information to support instruction. The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts its questions to suit your child’s needs. Each question a student receives is based on their answer to the previous item. For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of incorrect answers will yield slightly easier ones. The purpose of this is not to give your child a score or grade, but to determine how to best support their learning.
Here’s how you can help:
Watch this Video (English l Spanish) to familiarize yourself with the Diagnostic and how to best support your child.
Get organized by finding a quiet space for your student to take the test and confirming your technology is working properly.
Motivate your child by explaining how doing their best will help their teachers know how to teach them better.
Support, but DO NOT help by encouraging your child to stay focused and try their best and NOT helping them with the answers.
Celebrate your child’s effort once you have confirmed they have completed the assessment.
Use the Family Checklist on page two of this flyer (English l Spanish)
Remember, try not to worry about questions to which they do not know the answers—it is expected that students will only get about half of the questions correct!
The i-Ready Diagnostic will provide results that help us identify your child’s strengths and determine next steps for instruction so that we can provide a learning experience that will engage your child while teaching important skills and concepts.
Soon, you will hear more about the test from your student’s school or teacher(s). If you have any questions about the i-Ready diagnostic, then please do not hesitate to contact the school or your student’s teacher(s).
We appreciate your continued support and partnership in your child’s learning. Thank you so much!
Take Care,
Emily Humphrey, Principal
Rhonda Walton, Associate Principal
Amanda Newberg, Administrative Intern
