Worksite Learning Frequently Asked Questions

Can I earn high school credit for working?

Yes! Worksite Learning (WSL) is a great learning experience for juniors and seniors that connects knowledge and skills obtained in the classroom to those needed in the work environment. If you have a job and meet the requirements of the Worksite Learning program, you can receive one-half credit for every 180 hours that you work.

In order to enroll in the program, you, your parent or guardian, AND your employer will need to complete the required forms. Once the packet is completed and returned, you will be enrolled in a Worksite Learning class. You will also begin documenting your work hours or uploading your paystubs.

It is essential that you remain current with updating your hours in order to receive the maximum amount of credit. Student performance will be evaluated every 90 hours of work.

Do I qualify for Worksite Learning?

Are you currently working? Are you 16 or older? Have you passed a CTE course or are you currently taking a CTE course? If the answer is YES to all of these questions, then you qualify for Worksite Learning!

Pick up a Worksite Learning application packet from your school’s College & Career Center, or download and print these Worksite Learning application forms.
