These were developed from the spring survey results. While proceeding with this work, the committee will consider, to the extent possible, these guiding principles:

• Take a District-wide perspective by considering individual school capacities and student population projections to balance enrollment and address underutilization of schools across the district.​

• Make efforts to keep neighborhoods, communities, and families together, including keeping siblings together when possible.​

• Maximize proximity to home/safe walking routes (e.g., not having to cross busy streets, railroad tracks, and consider natural boundaries)​

• Consider equity by striving to ensure that every student has the opportunity to feel safe and valued, achieve academically, and be prepared for success beyond graduation.​
