This site is provided by the EUSD NETs Induction program in an effort to support teacher candidates under the Governor’s Executive Order with pending credential requirements due to COVID-19 school closure (ie. What is the CalTPA?
The CalTPA is a teacher performance assessment (TPA), one of three models approved in the State of California. All credential candidates must pass a TPA before getting their preliminary or clear credential (in the case of EO teacher candidates).

How many students you need:
As of 2020, you need at the very least 3 to constitute your class since you need 3 samples. The students must be from an actual k-12 class, not random students used for the purpose of the video.
Here are the minimum numbers for cycle 1 video clips:
Students, plural - classroom environment
The students, plural - engaged in strategies, activities & assessment
No specific # mentioned but the essential question in the rubric refers to students, plural - next steps for learning
Here are the minimum numbers of students for cycle 2 video clips:
Students, plural - academic language development
One or more - technology
Students, plural - informal assessment
At least one - self assessment
Students, plural - reteach or expansion
