Having students participate in a conservation project shows students they have the power to protect the environment. Complete the conservation project and surveys 2-3 weeks after the in-person fieldwork at Coastal Roots Farm.
Teacher's Guide - This project will take 4 days of your science block
Project Goal:
Design a home that can attract a beneficial organism to the Farm to support pest control or plant health.
What will students be creating?
Students will design and engineer a home for an animal that will help farmers with pest control or plant health. They may engineer physical habitats, models, or digital designs.

Please have students fill out the "Post-Experience Survey" so we can track their learning and growth throughout the program. Also, please complete the "Teacher Survey" based on your experience.
