We will begin the year with Digital Citizenship lessons that address the developmentally appropriate issues relating to student safety, ethics, and the law, which is information all students need to know. This needs to be completed by all students by September 13, 2025.
If you select to participate by whole class instruction: Teachers need to sign on with Google for the whole class lesson. For your class to get credit for completion the teacher needs to enter their name as the "nickname" when prompted. This will allow for the report to share that your class has completed the lesson.
You must be logged out of EdPuzzle completely to open the video.

NEW THIS YEAR FOR 6TH GRADE ONLY... Artificial Intelligence (AI) please see below for an introduction to AI (and risks) video for your students to watch when you feel they are ready. Please review the videos on your own first. Note, AI is not for students or classrooms at this time as we are currently vetting apps and content.
A majority of the generative AI apps available to the public were not designed for education. These apps also have age restrictions that require users to be at least 18 years old or have parental consent for students 13 and older. For these reasons, we recommend that you begin exploring by using generative AI tools for tasks that do not directly involve students. When thinking about using any sort of tech in schools, student privacy and safeguarding confidential information are critical. As you prepare to use generative AI, you should review our district's guidelines on protecting student data. At the same time, you should keep in mind some of the emerging privacy challenges that are unique to generative AI.
