EUSD follows the California Department of Education's guidelines when it comes to program selection, piloting, and adoption of core curriculum programs. The process of selecting and implementing new instructional materials should be thoroughly planned, conducted publicly and well documented. At every step an LEA should adhere to EC Section 60002 which states the following: “Each district board shall provide for substantial teacher involvement in the selection of instructional materials and shall promote the involvement of parents and other members of the community in the selection of instructional materials.” Check out CDE's website (HERE) to learn more about the selection, piloting, and adoption process.

I-Ready diagnostic will be administered once each trimester. Assessment results allow teachers to monitor the growth of students toward grade-level proficiency, tailor instruction to meet individual student needs, and identify trends of mastery on grade-level standards.
i-Ready is on the list of the California Department of Education (CDE) approved diagnostic assessments. The assessment is an adaptable diagnostic that is nationally normed, and upon student completion, teachers will be given explicit qualitative information on each student's academic abilities.
