My name is Rob Rosen, and I have been the Band/Choir Director at Cavitt JHS and Ridgeview Elementary since 2023. In addition to my position at Cavitt/Ridgeview, I am also the Assistant Director of GBHS's band program - a position I've held since 2021.

I grew up in Southern California (west LA area), and have been playing music almost my entire life! My first instrument was piano, which I started at age 3, but I was never particularly good at it. However, I started trumpet in 3rd grade and have been a brass-instrument specialist since then. I hold Bachelors degrees in Music Education and Trombone Performance from Cal State Long Beach, as well as a Masters degree in Bass Trombone Performance from Indiana University. From private lessons to coaching marching bands, I've been teaching in some capacity for the past decade and have loved every moment of it.

I currently live in South Sacramento with my wife, Julia (who is also a music educator), and our cat, Toast.
