About Us
About Us
Throughout the month, the twelve officers and the three advisors meet to discuss:
- Our monthly meetings
- Fundraisers
- Special Events (eg: Homecoming, Dutch Lottery, etc.)
- Promoting the students in our chapter
Later in the month, we hold an FFA meeting in the Ag. Department. At these meetings, we provide free dinner and snacks, encourage members to mingle, and plan fun activities.
Every semester, ag students are required to have two FFA credits- it counts for 10% of their class grade. Students can earn FFA credits by going to monthly meetings or being involved in other activities.
Our agriculture program uses a 3-ring model made up of classroom instruction, Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE), and FFA participation.
From rigorous classroom instruction to applied hands-on experience in agriculture and character development through involvement in FFA, the whole-person approach to the agricultural education system continues to lead the way and impact students throughout California.
Our ag department provides a variety of different classes. Below you will find the courses we offer for each grade level and which part of the A-G requirements are met for graduation.
If you take classes that are grouped together (eg, taking Floral Design 1 & Floral Design 2), you can become an Agriscience, Ag Mechanics, and/or Floral Design pathway completer.
Click the grades below to see what classes each grade "unlocks" based on their grade level! Please note, students can enroll in classes that are below their grade level, too (eg, Sophomores taking Ag. Bio).
