Mrs. Reik
Mrs. Reik
Mrs. Reik started playing violin when she was seven years old and enjoys a music filled life. She chose the violin after hearing an instrument demonstration at her school and could not wait to start lessons. Mrs. Reik attended Cleveland State University where she studied the violin with Daniel Rains and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Mrs. Reik has directed youth orchestras in the Baldwin Wallace University Outreach Program and the String Orchestras at Cleveland Music School Settlement’s Summer Music Camps. She has taught many private violin and viola students over the years and has performed at numerous events in Cleveland.
Mrs. Reik has been teaching in the Euclid School District since 2006 and has taught a variety of music classes to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Her son, Robby, was one of her first students at Lincoln Elementary School and those are some of her happiest memories. She is the proud director of the Euclid High School String Orchestra. She feels lucky to teach orchestra in Euclid Schools because she can share the fun of learning new music and performing for others with truly AWESOME students. Mrs. Reik believes that every child can grow and become an artful music maker and that music helps us to express feelings of love, pride, compassion, and gentleness...all that is good in our world. She looks forward to meeting new orchestra students and following them as they develop a lifelong love of music in Euclid’s instrumental program.
Mrs. Reik enjoys spending time with her husband, their four children, and their sweet puppy, Charlie. She loves when the college kids are all home for family dinners and game nights.
Mrs. Reik would like to thank the Euclid students for their continued dedication to creating artful music. Euclid is a special place for musicians of all ages. Go Panthers!
