European Seismic Risk Model Review Workshop: Thursday 12th September
Presentations by the partners of SERA on each of the main components of the European risk model: European seismic hazard model (ESHM 2020), site amplification model, residential and non-residential exposure model, physical vulnerability model, socio-economic vulnerability model, OpenQuake-engine calculations, testing and calibration.
Presentations from invited speakers from the insurance industry, international disaster risk organisations and national civil protection agencies on their experience with the European seismic risk model.
OpenQuake-engine Training Workshop: Friday 13th September
A hands-on OpenQuake-engine training workshop.
Attendees will be taken through the main steps to run the probabilistic event-based risk calculator for a country and produce the various risk metrics of the European risk model.
Please note that personal laptops will be required. Instructions for installation of the OQ-engine, which should be done before coming to the workshop, are provided here.
