Wilda grew up in St. Petersburg and moved to Seminole in 1970.
Going to work for Seminole Beacon in 1984 she retired after 36 years of working at the Beacon. In 1984 she joined Seminole Chamber. Wilda was a diplomat for the Chamber of Commerce, bringing in new membership. In 1996 she received the Merritt Award for putting together the first Seminole Business Membership Directory for the Chamber.
In 2000 Wilda presented Seminole High School with a granite plaque for winning the football championship. She was very active on the committee for "Bright Before Your Eyes" holiday parade. Instrumental in the first anniversary memorial for victims of Sept 11.
Wilda received the Paul Harris award from the Rotary foundation in December 2017.
