2015 - Steve Nickse
Dr. Stephen Nickse has lived in Seminole since 1970. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1987 and then from the University of Florida in 1991. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life College in 1995. Dr. Nickse ultimately returned to Seminole to open his practice, Seminole Chiropractic, Injury & Wellness Center. It was also in Seminole that Dr. Nickse met his beautiful wife, Janet. They have three wonderful children: Emma, Morgan and Carter.
Dr. Nickse’s array of civic and city involvement includes serving on the Seminole Chamber of Commerce executive board for many years, where he served as President in 1995. He has also served on the following committees: the Seminole City Charter Review committee, Pow Wow committee, and Seminole Stampede. He also served as the chairman of Seminole’s Kids Appreciation Day for over 15 years. Due to his involvement in the city and chamber, he is also a past Merit Award winner designated by the Seminole Chamber of Commerce.
His ongoing Seminole involvement over the years led to him being named Mr. Seminole 2015, on the 50th anniversary of this award. Dr. Nickse continues to be involved in the Seminole community. He states that he is very honored to follow in the footsteps of his father, Wally Nickse, who is also a past Mr. Seminole.
