Dr. Scott Neil Rose moved to Seminole in the late 1950s from his native Rochester, NY.
Dr. Rose was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He earned his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Florida, and was an avid Gator sports fan. He was an active member of St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church in Largo. He also was a member of many educational civic organizations including the Seminole Kiwanis Club.
Dr. Rose was the principal at Seminole High School from 1965 to 1970, and the superintendent of Pinellas County Schools from 1981 to 1991.
