Arnett Brown was born in Bartow, GA, and moved to the Clearwater / Seminole area in 1926 with his family.
Arnett Brown was a member of the Executive Committee that spearheaded the resident's efforts to establish the City of Seminole in 1970. He was a charter member of the City Council and served as the head of the City of Seminole’s Public Works Department - affectionately earning the name of “the Pothole Chairman” due to his responsibility for helping to take care of potholes in the area's roads and streets.
According to his daughter, Nancy Brown Barlow, “He was kind of the historian of the area.”
