The first part of the session focuses on current trends in cloud hyperscaler energy needs, how it impacts large scale FaaS-based & Serverless deployments and why FaaS may increase efficiency when operating modern IT workloads. In the 2nd part, we dive into the characteristics of 3 multi-tenant FaaS platforms by analyzing their architecture and unique features. Lastly, we explore possible pathways to increase the efficiency of the next generation Serverless infrastructure to better utilize compute resources.
