2. Scrunchies

You know those things that look like rubber bands but they're bigger and more colorful and they were quite popular in the 80s? Know what those are called? Those my friends are... scrunchies. You know what you do with scrunchies? Literally anything! They can hold your pony tale, go on your wrist to accessorize your outfit. Even put them on as an ankle bracelet.The scrunchie trend has gone global and most teens wear them. Don't believe me? Check any retail store. They are available EVERYWHERE!

3. TikTok

TikTok is a new form of social media everyone from infants to the elderly can't help but get sucked into. What is it? No one can quite explain! It’s a video… It’s a song… It’s lip syncing… It’s a party… TikTok is life! It now has 500 million users!

4. Getting Involved

Ever gotten involved in something? NO? Ever felt bored or just wish there was something fun to do with your friends? For instance, soccer or football, or any social clubs like Beta or KYA (Kentucky Youth Assembly)? Or maybe you have a passion for saving the planet or being on the stage? Well, joining a club is often fun and easy to sign up for. Most athletes sign up for every sport, but some just pick one so they can get involved in something else too. Not all clubs run at the same time, so this gives you the opportunity to join multiple clubs and also gives you an opportunity to do something new for a change. You can also get involved in your community by volunteering or playing on a competitive sports team. It doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you do something and have fun!

5. Air pods

Earbuds without wires? Are those things in everyone’s ears without wires? Must not be too worried about hearing loss...YET! The perfect earbuds! Even though air pods are expensive and they are easy to lose, air pods are the new trend because everyone is tired of their earbuds getting tangled up and torn. No need to worry about air pods getting torn and tangled!

6. Customizing

When was the last time you bought a phone case and didn't put anything on it ? And when your parents bought you your first hydro flask, remember buying like one thousand stickers to decorate it? Yeah well, you're not the only one. Everyone is customizing everything! We can thank the Cricut obsession for making it so easy to put your initials, team mascot, or favorite saying on almost anything you own. Monograms gone wild!

7. Panther Merchandise

C'mon let’s be for real. Everyone wants ALL the Panther merchandise. I mean, I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t want to Panther up! Visit Dukes, join a club, check all local stores and boutiques for the latest Panther gear. Even the EPAC has shirts for sale year round!

8. Smart Watches

Remember that time you looked at your wrist and didn’t see a watch? Well guess what? Nowadays everyone looks down for their watch. Apple watches, Fitbits, Galaxy watches, all kinds of watches. Time really ticks at T.K.. I mean, who wouldn’t want a watch to check the time, see if class is almost over, or check a text from their bestie?

9. Jerseys

Athletes love to show their team pride, but legend has it, before every football game, they share an artifact with the girls. You wanna hear what it is? It’s...their jerseys! After the games or during school these gridiron heroes give girls their jerseys to,”ahem” show affection towards them. All around the school, you're gonna see at least one girl with a jersey. If you don't believe me, why don't you go out and see for yourself!

10. Morning Tutoring

Need a cool place to hang out and do some hard core science, social studies or worse...MATH? Maybe you need a quick 30 minute course refresher? Honestly, if something may not make sense, why wait until you are in trouble for not completing it? Morning tutoring is the place for you! Head down to Mrs. Freedlund’s room , 3403, before school… and seriously - do your work, or you'll get bad grades.
