Course Description:

A semester long introduction course that concentrates on the principles of design, composition, and visual literacy. Students will be introduced to different types of brainstorming and ideation, design history and culture, and experiment with different types of workflow. Computer software used in class will be Adobe Illustrator. Work will consist of a variety of projects like page composition, poster design, and illustration. Students will design freehand, with software, and learn to collaborate.
