ETHS Poetry Week 2022
ETHS Poetry Week 2022
ETHS Libraries has pulled together some books of poetry and a selection of novels-in-verse (*), all of which are available as e-books via eReadIllinois/Axis 360 and Overdrive Sora when you log in using your ETHS credentials (**). Most of these books are also available as physical texts in either East or Central Library.
Click on a cover to access that e-book on one of the platforms (though it's possible the book may be available on more than one)!
PLUS: click on any of the poets featured in the Poetry Month photo collage and you will be taken to PoetryFoundation.org's entry on that individual, where you can read a brief biography and some of that poet's notable works.
* A novel-in-verse is a novel wherein the story is told through a series of connected poems instead of a more traditional prose form (think Kwame Alexander's The Crossover, Elizabeth Acevedo's The Poet X, and pretty much everything Ellen Hopkins writes).
** For step-by-step instructions on how to access these platforms, click HERE (for Sora) and HERE (for eReadIllinois). And for even more e-book displays, visit the Interactive Books Displays page on the ETHS Remote Learning Library Resources website.
