STRING ORCHESTRAS

The String Orchestras are a technique-based class that is designed to provide an rich, and rewarding musical experience for all participants. In addition to repertoire, we will focus on skills such as 2 and 3-Octave Scales, Shifting, Self-Tuning, Vibrato, Tone Production, higher positional work, more expressive playing, music theory, and independent musicianship. Through the continual study of technique and musicianship, String Orchestra members will help lay the groundwork to join Symphony Orchestra if they so choose to join.
