Our group currently consists of Guthrie Olko, Brendan Mitchell, Nikolai Tyurin, Augustus Bell, and Keira Beaudoin (juniors); Amelia Bonney and Sammy Blix (seniors); and Liv Hammer (sophomore)
Our community partners
We are a small team of students at Evanston Township High School, and we started and are continuing our project through the Emerge Leadership program at ETHS, organized by Community Service Coordinator Erin Claeys, where we receive support and community connections that would have been difficult to find otherwise. As our project grew, we began collaborating with Evanston Community Fridges, which provided us with accessible locations for distribution as well as funding to purchase materials each month. Finally, we have been working with Ridgeville Community Center to hold monthly packing sessions.
In recent months of 2026, we began inviting an ETHS athletic team to each packing session so that we can produce and distribute more kits every month. In January and February 2026, we worked with ETHS Boys' Swimming as well as the ETHS Rowing team to bring more Evanston community members into our project.
