Millions of refugees are now displaced as a result of the events in Ukraine. women, children and families are in great need of care. ETCMA Member Associations and their dedicated practitioners are hard at work to extend much needed health and wellness services to these refugees.

Tania Camacho a TCM Doctor working in Krakow is performing acupuncture plus NADA Protocol for a heavily injured Ukrainian refugee, who jumped from the second floor during shelling of her building. She was transported from Lviv to Tarnow’s Sw. Lukasza Hospital department of orthopedics. She suffered a fracture-dislocation of T12 ending in paraplegia + panic attacks and depression. The Head Physician of the orthopedics department agreed for her to have acupuncture treatments. After several months of two times per week treatments her motor functions have improved significantly.

As a neighboring country, Poland has taken in over 1.4 million Ukrainian Refugees. Our amazing acupuncture colleagues of the PTTMC posted flyers at train stations and refugee centers (written in Ukrainian) to offer complimentary services at their clinics. They have already begun providing acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and tuina treatments for Ukrainian adults and children who have fled their homes.
