Before modern medicines, people used to take care of their bodies with home remedies. A cup of chamomile tea calms down anxiety, the smell of lavender ensures a goodnight sleep, and ginger soup to warm up our body in cold weather!
Herbalism is the oldest and most widespread form of healing wisdom on planet earth.
Claire Hong started from stirring the healing herbs into her handmade soaps. With double master's degrees in psychology, she transferred her passion of research and exploration to the world of herbalism, and essential oils. Not only did she create her own brand, she also urges everyone to be more aware of our environment and treasure the power of healing from our Mother Nature!
In this event, Claire Hong will analyze the correlation of our immune system and the herbal essential oil in nature. There will also be DIY instructions of aromatic herbal hand sanitizer and herbal honey.
A big appreciation to Claire Hong for providing 6 herbal product gift boxes (each valued at $15) as raffle prizes. All raffle ticket purchase and donation proceeds will go towards enabling us to continue to serve our Taiwan School and TAC communities.

We are honored to have Professor Khin-huann Li to be our guest speaker for the second Sustainable Living Session. Professor Li devotes his life to rescue, revive, and promote the Taiwanese language, culture, and heritage. Our weeping motherland of Taiwan after centuries of colonization, like many other endangered languages and cultures, are in an urgent need to restore the lost language and cultural inheritance.
He will speak from a global view for the present and the future of Taiwanese, and how it is important to respect the right of language to foster diversity and inclusion for the sustainable peace of human society.
