As Californians, we all know that this March has been full of wind and rain! Students have been working on the few sunny days we have to prepare the garden for the coming spring.

Near the end of this month we enjoyed the new flowers that appeared once the sun came out. Students took the initiative to create small bouquets of spring flowers.

Goodwill ASSETS

Goodwil ASSETS provided the garden with chicken manure, top soil, and general manure. This organic material is essential in feeding out plants in the coming growing season.

Ms. Huerta's Herb Garden

The students in Ms. Huerta's classes are building an herb garden. Late March, they worked tiredly to build 5 garden beds that will ultimately contain medicinal herbs.
