A Present Level of Educational Performance or PLEP is a part of the IEP that encompasses the current programming and performance on an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The purpose of the IEP is to establish goals and services for the upcoming year and the PLEP allows the team to reestablish a baseline to see how the student is currently doing in school. This is the foundation for which the team will develop the goals for the student.
