Pre-writing Strategies for ELL Students and Struggling Writers

When your students start to write, do they complain that their minds are blank or state that they have nothing to say? If so, you are not alone. Many writers experience this at one time or another. This session is designed especially for teachers with struggling writers including English language learners. In this session, teachers will learn various pre-writing techniques and strategies designed to help their ELL students achieve proficiency in writing. Teachers will be given ideas formulated to assist students in organizing their thoughts prior to putting them down on paper.
