Fred the Fox
Once upon a time there was a fox named Fredrick who loved his warm safe den. One day he was startled from his nap by a tickling sensation on his nose. He opened his eyes and to his surprise, a small creature was fluttering around his head. He went to run to his mother and then he stopped, and instead followed the beautiful blue butterfly out the entrance of his den.
A brightly shining ball of light forced his eyes closed. Young Fredrick had never experienced anything like this before! But then he spotted the butterfly drifting through a sea of yellow flowers. He was delighted smelling the fresh air and feeling the cool breeze on his nose. As he pranced through the meadow a loud snap startled the naive little fox. He turned to run home when he spotted the butterfly again and continued on his new adventure.
As he frolicked behind his new friend he felt at peace. He continued through the meadow when he noticed something lurking in the shadow of the trees. He went to investigate and “Boom!”, “pow!”; a new unfamiliar sound sent him running once again for his den.
