CHAIR'S EVENTS

EVENTS ORGANIZED BY THE CHAIR

WELCOME EVENING FOR EACH NEW PROMO

Each year, the Chair team, partner companies and the President of ESSEC welcome the new class of students during an official evening.

The traditional promotional photo is taken on this occasion!

Students and partners then also have the opportunity to get to know each other during the cocktail.

SITES' VISITS

Every Monday, during the sessions of the Chair seminar, the partner companies invite students to visits (construction sites, just-delivered projects, company premises) in order to meet the teams based on site.

In 2021, respecting sanitary measures, students were able to go to the Orfèvrerie at Saint-Denis belonging to Quartus group and which is the heart of a transitional urban planning project: pending the future restructuring of this space, many trades (craftsmen, artists, etc.) rub shoulders there to exercise their profession and thus not leave it fallow.

The students were also able to visit Chapelle International, a former railway site in the heart of the La Chapelle district in Paris, whose requalification as an innovative district is being led by Espaces Ferroviaires.

The class was also able to go to the Hotel Kimpton Saint Honoré, whose rehabilitation was led by Vinci Immobilier.

STUDY TRIP

Every year, apart from restrictions due to the health crisis, the Chair organizes a study trip for its students.

The class then goes to a European city undergoing real estate development or responding to a topic addressed in class.

Thus, in 2013, the students and the team traveled to London to observe in situ the real estate fallout from the 2012 Olympic Games.

In 2018, the promotion settled in Milan, discovering in particular the new City Life district, freshly emerged from the ground and combining office spaces, a shopping center and residential buildings.

In 2019, Berlin hosted our class, allowing them to discover how the city carries its history while gradually modernizing.

In 2022, back to Amsterdam, this time with students from 2 promotions for a 2-day program set up in collaboration with the Amsterdam School of Real Estate.

AFTER WORK WITH OUR ALUMNI

Every now and then, an After Work is organized to allow students from the current promotion to meet the alumni of the Chair.

The first edition was launched last May 10 in the presence of students from classes ranging from 2019 to 2023. This edition was hosted by LE BELLUNE Bar, Hôtel & Spa Paris 35, boulevard Victor Hugo, Paris 75015.

A real moment of sharing, the After Work turned out to be a real success among our students and alumni.

We invite all our alumni to meet us around such friendly occasions in Paris, Cergy or elsewhere.

The next one is scheduled for very soon. We will keep you posted ! Stay tuned !

REAL ESTATE EVENTS TO WHICH

THE CHAIR IS INVITED

MIPIM

The MIPIM - the International Market fair for Real Estate Professionals - is the world's largest forum for real estate professionals.

It is held every year in March at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes and brings together the most influential international players from all sectors of professional real estate - offices, residential, retail, health, sports, logistics.

It offers access to the largest real estate development projects and sources of international capital.

The Chair and MIPIM have established a common partnership for many years, thus allowing four students to go on site to attend the event, in return for which they take charge of writing the reports of the conferences they attend.

These "Minutes" are then widely distributed by MIPIM, and by the Chair to its partners.

The Chair may host a round table at the MIPIM. The theme is directly linked to the current activities of the Chair.

GRI SUMMITS (FRANCE & EUROPE)

Founded in 1998, the GRI (Global Real Estate Institute) is a global club bringing together business leaders from the real estate sector from all countries (developers, asset managers, banks, etc.).

Its objective is to help its members establish personal relationships and develop professional opportunities that benefit all stakeholders.

The GRI organizes a series of annual summits around the world which constitute key moments for players in the real estate sector. One of the most important is the GRI Europe which is held every September in Paris over two days. It takes the form of a series of discussions conducted in English in a spirit close to the think tank.

The GRI France, organized in Spring each year, takes the same form and takes place exclusively in French.

A few students from the Chair are selected each year to attend GRI discussions and produce reports.

These reports are then submitted exclusively to the partners of the Chair.
