ESSEC and the Beauty Sector

The world of beauty is highly diversified and traditionally brings together players (major international groups or product-specialized companies and young emerging brands) from 5 main areas: Skincare, Hair care, Makeup, Fragrances and Hygiene.

With incredible and dynamic innovation strategies (connected beauty) and powered by endlessly renewed consumer expectations (cleaner beauty, infused by nature), the beauty market is ever more promising, year after year.

ESSEC, with a community of 5,000 Alumni working in the beauty sector, through partnerships with chemistry or perfumery schools such as ISIPCA or by accommodating startups in its ESSEC Ventures incubators, has acquired real educational legitimacy in this sector. The ESSEC Beauty Chair provides a pool of expertise and focuses on its passion for this sector.

The world of global beauty is a rapidly changing industry with significant and exciting growth potential. New shopping dynamics and changing consumer preferences – including omnichannel and interconnected shopping, customized/personalized beauty, and rising expectations for sustainable beauty innovations – have created new career opportunities.

The Chair track prepares students for beauty positions across the following areas:
