Every one of our members, from those who attend 1 event, to those who are on the board, should feel socially empowered through us
The president is responsible for organizing the board. This means continuous contact with all the board members and holding the weekly update meetings to see how everyone is doing. The president does not only lead but also helps the rest of the board in their tasks where it's needed. The position entails a lot of planning, since planning the welcome week and team-building exercises with the board is primarily up to the president.
The Vice-president shares a lot of tasks with the President and makes sure that the president's load isn’t too much. The responsibilities can be to organize the rest of the board members and keep in contact with partners. The VP helps the president to keep the board together.
The secretary's main task is to keep the minutes and the protocol for the board's weekly meetings. They also hold the important responsibility of making sure the board is upholding the statuses of ESN.
The media manager is in control of ESN södertörn's social media. They create posters to post online and for putting up at the school. The media manager is also responsible for interacting with people on social media and making people hyped for our events. The main social media channels are Facebook and Instagram. Not only do they market for our events they are also responsible for filming and taking pictures during ongoing events to spread on our social media.
The communications manager is in charge of keeping in contact with important people and organizations to the board. They are the link between the board and any relevant organizations. They need to keep close contact with the event- and media manager since they are responsible for contacting any relevant people for different events or projects the board arranges.
The event manager is responsible for the events held by ESN södertörn. They are a central part in coming up with idéas for new events and organizing the events with help from the board (especially the communications and media manager). This includes booking activities and planning the semester calendar. The events manager's goal should be to create an environment for the exchange students to meet and socialize with each other but also with Swedish students from the university. Also to introduce them to the Swedish culture.
The treasurer is in charge of the board's financial assets. This means they create the yearly budget, apply for different grants and look for sponsors.
The local representative gets to meet a lot of different people. The position involves a lot of traveling to other ESN organizations around the world. Therefore it is very important that the local representative is social and has a professional mindset to interacting with others like us. They are our faces in the world. They also have all the contact with some of our most important partners, and they keep other boards updated on what we are doing.
