Choose Your Own Adventure - 1 Hour
This segment of the meeting allows you to choose from a menu of professional learning sessions. There will be breakout rooms to choose which session "adventure" to attend. Check out the options below. If at any time you get lost or disconnected - you can always come back to the main room for help.
After your first session, you will return to the main session for a 5 minute break and then choose your second "adventure" breakout room.

Washington CSTA and Equity Resources - Lawrence Tanimoto, CSTA-Puget Sound
The presentation introduces CSTA (Computer Science Teachers Association), its local Washington state chapters, and the resources they provide to promote equitable computer science education. Details will be provided describing computer science education equity issues in Washington and the professional development and support infrastructure provided by CSTA and its Washington chapters to help teachers throughout their careers as computer science educators.

Building Equitable and Inclusive Computer Science Pathways with the Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS Program - Adam McDonald, Regional Manager and Specialist, Microsoft TEALS Program
Teachers participating in the Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) Program build their CS teaching capacity through ongoing training, CS teaching resources, and a network of industry professionals that support classroom instruction. Learn how you can partner with TEALS to learn CS and help build and grow an equitable and inclusive computer science program at your school.

From Visions to Action: Strategic Planning with SCRIPT - Dr. Sue Kane, NCESD 171 CS Co-Lead
Educators across the state are expanding access to computer science education – but what can your district do to be prepared to make this opportunity equitably accessible for all students? CS leaders are invited to join this session to learn a little more about the CSforALL SCRIPT strategic planning workshop that can help your district prepare an equity-based, sustainable, K-12 CS education plan for implementation across six thematic areas: (1) Materials and Curriculum, (2) Leadership, (3) Teacher Capacity and Development, (4) Partners, (5) Community, (6) Technology Infrastructure.
