NEXT DESTINATION✈️ ... Preparation Visit to Mersin, Turkey (July 2022)

The Erasmus Coordination has traveled to Mersin to meet the Turkish teacher there and work together to prepare the future mobility with students. They have planned several activities which will help approaching the objectives proposed in our Erasmus+ plan.

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES in IE Pallerola 26 September 2022

Being the internationalization of the school and the multilingualism one of our Erasmus+ Accreditation project main objective, on the European Day of Languages, 26th September, our students participated in the Tongue Twister Challenge proposed by European Center of Modern Languages and the Council of Europe.

JOB SHADOWING & PREPARATORY VISIT in Lens (FRANCE✈)

From the 9th to the 16th October 2022, our language teachers, Alba and Cristina, traveled to Lens in France for a Job Shadowing experience and also, to prepare the further mobility with their students.

It has been amazing to observe the teaching-learning methodologies in College Jean Zay where we met such nice teachers and pupils. We learnt a lot from them and discovered the similarities and differencies with our educational system. We attended a lot of language classes such as the English lessons, the French, German and Spanish lessons as well as a Music lesson and a Maths lesson. Now, we have a lot of information to share with our workmates in IE Pallerola.

We would like to thank all the professionals in College Jean Zay for opening their doors to us and treating us so well.

PREPARATORY VISIT in Sicily

December 2022

After a few days in Belpasso, Sicily, we have the mobility we will be doing in March with our students ready. It's been an intense day of visiting school, discovery of the village and the area, preparation of activities to do... Now that we have it, can't wait for the time to come back because we're sure we'll enjoy it a lot!

ALL is ready for the MOBILITY to LENS

December 2022

In less than one month, the group of pupils chosen for the Erasmus Mobility are going to travel to Lens (France) and live one of the best experience of their lives! They are 5 4th ESO students who are going to participate in a language exchange, Spanish and French, and 10 3rd ESO who are going to practice their English.

All the details and information were given to those students and their families by the Erasmus Coordinator and the teachers involved in this mobility.

So, READY, STEADY, GOOOOOOO!!

MOBILITY to LENS

January 2023

From the 16th to the 20th January, our students have participated in an Erasmus mobility to Lens (France). It was a very cold week but they really enjoyed the experience: they practiced their English and French, they made new friends, they discovered new places and attended classes in the College Jean Zay.

SICILIAN TEACHERS (PREPARATORY VISIT) IN IE PALLEROLA

From the 18th to the 21st February, two Italian teachers, Laura and Alfina, have visited us and worked to prepare their future visit in May with their students. They have discovered our town, the school, have been in several classes... And all the activities are already organized for those days! Can't wait to have you all here!

MOBILITY to Belpasso, Sicily (ITALY)

One more time, some of our students have enjoyed a wonderful Erasmus+ week in Sicily. We have been there from the 12 to the 19 May, working with the Scuola Media Nino Martoglio in Belpasso and hosted by nice local families. We have attended lessons, visited the town, Catania and trekked on Etna Volcano. Moreover, we have worked on an environmental project Green Technologies to make our schools more sustainable with the help of the new technologies.

ITALIAN STUDENTS VISIT IE PALLEROLA

From the 9th to the 16th May, students from Sicily visited our school and hosted with some of our students' families. It was a week full of activities, we visited Barcelona, we rode a bike around the lake in Banyoles... and worked on the Erasmus project to make our schools more sustainable and green using new technologies.

ENGLISH DAY in IE PALLEROLA

Erasmus+ is helping and improving our center in many ways, and specially, in fostering the foreign languages. We want to internationalized the school, open the pupils' minds, offer our students opportunities to practice and use the languages they are learning in class... And this time, we have organized the 1st ENGLISH DAY in IE Pallerola!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOBILITY TO Mersin (Türkiye)

June 2023

The First week of June some students from IE Pallerola travelled to Mersin, i n Türkiye, to visit the school 100.YIL ANDOLY LESESI and spend some days working and doing activities together with them. We all practiced a lot our English and improved our oral competences, which was one of the main objective of this mobility as well as the inclusion, diversity and discovering of a new culture. Some of the activities done in Türkiye were:

A tour in Mersin guided and explained by the Turkish students
The presentation of our schools and traditions in our countries in the school theater
Sports practices in the school playground
Attendance in the English lessons
Collaborating in an Arts lesson
A boat tour to discover the coast of Mersin as well as its traditional food and dances
The visit of a traditional Market

The IE Pallerola students were hosted by very kind Turkish students' families in Mersin who made that Erasmus week one of the most special in our lives.
