The 2nd of June, students from P3 to 4th ESO celebrated the English Day.
This year, the topic chosen was Ireland and all together we discovered a lot of things about the Irish culture and traditions.
During the end of the 1st term, we carried out a collaboration project with the Carmelite school in Rome. The second-grade students from the schools in El Prat and Rome created their own Christmas cards. Later, they were sent by postal mail, and each child received one of them. It was a pleasant surprise for all of them.
Students of th 6th grade have been preparing the Spelling Bee Contest during all this months. At the end of February they have celebrated the contest in the school. They have worked a lot on it, discovering new words and how do they spell. Congratulations!

During the 3rd term, students of 6th grade discovered the different types of energy, how can we classify them and how we use them everyday at school, at home...
During the 3rd term, students of 5th grade discovered what fungi are and how they are. In addition, they learnt about the effects of penicciline in their daily life.
During the 2nd term, students of 6th grade discovered what a scientific research is and worked through the PBL (Problem Based Learning) in order to solve the question that each group asked themselves to improve the planet.
The learners of 6th grade did different videos about a topic called:
"2020 UNESCO GOAL 4 & FONIX FOCUS"
By 2030 build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, nonviolent, inclusive and effective learning environments for all.

The learners of 5th grade are going to be working the different emotions related to warm and cold colours. They are going to express different feelings depending on the colours that they will see.
The 6th level students are about to get different vaccines at school and they are sort of nervous. They already know they have to do it because vaccines are really important, so they are going to learn all about how vaccines help us stay healthy.
Students are going to describe what a vaccine is and how it affects our body. Moreover, they are going to recognise the experiences and things we know about vaccines by sharing our opinion as well as consolidating their knowledge.
The 6th level students are going to discover what the word "Globalisation" means due to the fact that they are living in a world that is globalised, that is their reality and daily life.
The 1st ESO students have been learning and practising some football skills like: passing, shooting and controlling the ball. It has been a great unit.
