HALLOWEEN
Students found a Crime scene at the Upper Cycle Hall. They were in shock when they saw it! It was an activity to discover who the murderer was. Students had to use all their habilities to solve the mistery. There were 4 clues: a fingerprint, a footprint, a paperbin with some trash and an audio of an emergency call with the description on the murderer. Listening, reading, writing and speaking habilities were used to solve this crime. It was AWESOME!!
EASTER CLUEDO
Easter has come in a very crazy game. Children went to class but the door was closed!!! A CRAZY RABBIT left a message. He stole the key class and he wanted the students to help him to find his Easter eggs. In exchange for, he will give them a reward.
The Crazy Bunny message said where the key was. It was in the school hall leaning over a window on the ceiling. Once they got the key they opened the door and went in the class. There were 5 envelopes wating for them. In groups, they read a description of a place where they had to find a box with their envelope color. To open the box, students had to solve a maths algorithm or Morse code message. Every box contained a part of a big maths algorithm which , in order and solved, gave the number of the key to open the FINAL BOX and find their reward.
In this activity, students mixed up different habilities like reading, decoding messages, maths, visual abilities and guessing patterns. They had lots of fun while putting into practise their knowledege.
TELLING STORIES
This term, students from year 6 had a very special challenge. They had to put into practise what they learnt the previous term: Past Simple tense. And to do so, nothing is better than a great story. For that, they were told some famous stories and in small groups they had to choose one. They created the script or narration, the background, the costumes or puppets they had to use to tell their story.
Students from EI3, EI4, EI5 and their "fillols" were invited to this special moment of telling stories. Click on the link to watch it!!
STOPMOTION
Students of year 5 had an amazing challenge to achieve along this 3rd term : recording a STOP MOTION video. They had to use all what they learnt in the first and second semester (Present Simple tense, phyisical descriptions, the times and routines) to explain a person's routine. Here you will find routines of different people, football players, youtubers, influencers, actors, teachers, etc. They did an absolutely GREAT JOB. For lots of them, it was the very first time they recorded an Stop Motion video. Have a look at them!!
