Writing a new IPDP is easier than you think! Use the Writing an IPDP slides to guide you through required elements to ensure your plan is approved quickly. Our IPDP checklist is also a helpful resource.
If you are joining our LPDC and you already have all of your hours for renewal, we still require an IPDP on file. Please follow these special guidelines for writing an IPDP if you are transferring enough CEUs/contact hours to renew your license.
If you are joining our LPDC and you have some, but not all, of your hours towards renewal, follow the regular guidelines for writing an IPDP. However, we MUST have an Educator Leaving an LPDC form on file before we can verify hours from previous districts. To submit, upload this form as an Activity within SCView - do not send via email.
We encourage LPDC members to submit evidence for PD activities as soon as they are completed. This gives you plenty of time to make adjustments or edits as needed and ensures that your license renewal is not delayed.
How can I ensure that my activity evidence will be approved?
Refer to the Activity Approval Checklist for all guidelines and expectations
For any non-traditional professional development activities where there will not be a certificate of attendance or transcript, you must request and obtain PRE-APPROVAL before beginning any work.
Although rare, the LPDC reserves the right to deny coursework from unaccredited institutions or PD from organizations that do not meet quality standards for professional learning.
