We are a Northeast Ohio-based non-profit organization whose mission is to empower children and adults with disabilities to achieve their greatest potential through holistic and family-focused services.

Our week-long camps (with half-day or full-day options available) are designed for children aged 4–12, balancing high-energy adventure with meaningful skill-building. Akron Rotary Camp offers several camping programs. The children's overnight camp is geared towards children with disabilities aged 6-17. This is the cornerstone program, which has been offered since 1924. Campers 18 and older can participate in Adult Camp. Day camp is offered to campers ages 6-21. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities while spending each night at home.
Today, our campers represent a variety of disabilities. Many campers have developmental disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and Down syndrome. Other campers have physical disabilities such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and blindness. There are also many campers with learning disabilities, mental health disorders, and multiple diagnoses. A camper just has to have a disability to qualify for any one of the Akron Rotary Camp's programs.

Camp Nuhop welcomes all children, including those with and without diagnoses. Our camp is inclusive of kids with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, attention deficit, mood disorders, neuroatypical children, as well as their neurotypical peers.
We offer six residential sessions featuring a variety of programs designed to foster personal growth through achievement, positive reinforcement, and the development of friendships. Our campers participate in programs that range from Traditional and Specialty Camps (on-campus based programs) to Trip Camps (off-campus based programs).
Participants are organized into groups ("squads") of eight, with three or more summer staff members, considering age, interests, and compatibility. This ensures a supportive and enriching environment for each child. For newcomers, we particularly recommend our Traditional Program, which introduces campers to outdoor experiences at our own site or nearby locations such as Malabar Farm, Mohican State Park & Forest, catering to a wide spectrum of interests and needs.
For more than 100 years, Camp Christopher has been providing campers a world of adventure in nature, community, and spirit. We offer a variety of programs and exciting activities for all ages, including persons with disabilities.
Cavs Youth Sports offers summer basketball camps for ages 4-14 at locations across the region. Programs include Cavs Academy (8-14), Cavalittles (4-7), All-Girls (8-14), & Mark Price Camps (10-14.) In addition to basketball, select locations also offer Cheer Dance Camps (5-14.) Camps focus on skill development, confidence, teamwork, & competitive yet positive gameplay.
You will be delighted watching your child blossom with confidence building, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging as their community grows. This is a place where your child belongs, experiencing the joy of dance while growing skills both technically and socially. Personalized attention in small classes with nurturing and caring teachers helps each dancer feel seen, supported, and encouraged to become their personal best. With a covered arena, air conditioned classroom, and a water cooler in the barn, your kiddos will be comfortable and entertained no matter the weather! A summer music experience full of creativity, fun, and performance for ages 4-15!
Under the leadership of trained teaching artists, students will work collaboratively to learn theatrical skills, build confidence, and find their voice! Campers will explore storytelling through acting, singing, and dancing, while developing and rehearsing an original performance piece. This intensive arts program will culminate in a final showcase for family and friends.
SMILE Summer Camp™ is a therapeutic day camp led by a speech-language therapist. The camp alternates weekly with the 10-16 age group and the 6-10 age group. Campers engage in structured learning activities in addition to daily field trips to generalize skills while focusing on social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. This therapeutic program was developed specifically for children with disabilities to provide them with a fun and interactive way to develop social skills, participate in the activities that typical kids take for granted, and work on their IEP goals.
