Descriptor: Believers Academy Summer Enrichment Program is a program that all youths will have lots of summer fun. Youths are surrounded by positive supervision, support and safe environments where they are guided with opportunities to learn and grow. Our program provides hands-on experiences that empower youths through clear expectations and opportunities where they can learn new skills, meet new people, set healthy boundaries and enjoy traditional summer fun. Cheerful Day Camp offers all the activities of a traditional camp, modified for children with disabilities. We have tons of fun activities planned for this summer, including hiking, swimming, fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, nature study activities, games, campfire activities, music, sports, visits to our horse barn, and memories that will last a lifetime! A maximum ratio of 1 staff to 4 children. 1:1 aides are limited for an additional cost. Financial assistance may be available for families who qualify. Descriptor: A mix of camp and school activities for school-age children and teens with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This program is designed and run by an Intervention Specialist that works with campers on IEP goals in a maximum 1 staff to 3 camper setting. Activities are designed to meet each student's needs and ability level while receiving support from an intervention specialist and counselors. Speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists also provide required therapy minutes in student's IEP. Activities include daily swimming, sensory play and exploration, arts and crafts, adapted sports activities, reading, and music activities. A $35 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

Descriptor: Camp Happiness operates Monday-Friday from 9:30am -3:00pm. Campers have the option to select specific weeks or attend the full six weeks. Transportation is available for those in Cuyahoga County.
We have two campsite locations (Brooklyn and Wickliffe). Both sites offer social and recreational programming as well as skill enhancement in a naturalistic setting. Program highlights include swimming, community outings, art, music, and adaptive exercise.
Camp Happiness primarily serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Campers are individually assessed to determine appropriateness. Our staff to camper ratio is 1:4. Waivers and Family Supports Program funding are accepted. Also, additional "camper-ships" may be available for those who demonstrate financial need.

Descriptor: The ABCs session, is a half-day summer program for children entering kindergarten through 2nd grade with a visual impairment as a primary or secondary disability. Students must be receiving direct services from a TVI and/or O&M specialist to be enrolled. The nine areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum will serve as a framework for planning the daily activities along with plenty of fun summer experiences. The program is appropriate for children with varying abilities, who will be provided with opportunities to engage with typically, sighted peers. Weekly themes will focus on Art, Music, Nature, and Sport. Weekly field trips will be included. The program can serve as ESY, NEON funding available for eligible families. Financial Assistance is made available if income-eligible and no other funding sources are obtainable.

Descriptor: The Bright Futures session is a half-day summer program for preschool-age children with a visual impairment as a primary or secondary disability. Therapies are delivered through play and stimulate the development of compensatory skills, such as pre-Braille, pre-mobility, and daily living skills. Descriptor: Summer Youth Work Experience is a 5-week day program designed to give young adults between 12-20 hours per week of paid work experience supported by a job coach. Additionally, students will receive instruction in workplace readiness, job exploration, post-secondary counseling, advocacy skills, assistive technology training, adaptive daily living skills, orientation and mobility training, and some opportunities for recreation and leisure activities. The daily program is expected to run from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Participants will need daily transportation to and from the Sight Center, but transportation will be provided to and from job sites. Program fees are authorized by Bureau of Services for the visually impaired.

SBC Camp is a 5 week integrated camp within Camp Macedonia, offering services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disorders.
